Located right along Lake Michigan between Pentwater and Ludington, Summit Township Park boasts shaded picnic tables, bathrooms, recreational facilities, and Lake Michigan access.

For larger gatherings, the indoor pavilion at the park can be rented.

Summit Township Park is located at:

5581 South Lakeshore Drive
Ludington, MI 49431

The park is open April 1st through October 31st, daily from 8:00 am – dusk or 10:00 pm.

 

Summit Township Park Rules

  • Closed at dusk or by 10:00 pm
  • No glass containers on the beach
  • No camping
  • Dogs allowed on leash only

 

How to Rent the Summit Park Pavilion

The pavilion at Summit Park is ideal for large events and gatherings. Each year, it serves as a picturesque location for weddings, receptions, reunions, graduations, and more.

The pavilion can hold approximately 50 to 75 people and is handicap accessible. Features include:

  • 40 folding chairs
  • Seven 9-foot tables
  • One 12-foot table
  • A stove
  • A microwave
  • A refrigerator
  • An outdoor water faucet

Pricing is as follows:

  • Summit Township taxpayers: Standard rate is $100, if you use a large tent the rate is $350 (tent not provided, this extra cost is to repair the grounds after the tent is removed).
  • Non-Summit Township taxpayers: Standard rate is $250, if you use a large tent the rate is $500 (tent not provided, this extra cost is to repair the grounds after the tent is removed).

Please keep in mind that renters are responsible for the condition of the building and the behavior of their guests. Deductions from the rental deposit may be made for any problems or damages.

SIGNED CONTRACT NEEDS TO BE SENT TO CLERK AS SOON AS YOU HAVE BOOKED THE DATE.   Without the contract, the date cannot be held.
